Barcelona were dealt with a few more injury blows this past weekend, with Pedri and Frenkie de Jong picking up fresh knocks during the game with Athletic Club.
It appears even Lamine Yamal is suffering from knee discomfort heading into the Napoli game, which adds to Barcelona’s injury-related woes.
However, the never-ending list of injuries at Barça right now may pave the way for younger players to make their mark in the first team.
One of them is Noah Darvich. The 17-year-old has emerged as one of the rising stars for Barça Athletic this season and has been adapting to Rafa Marquez’s setup remarkably well.
This has led to calls for him to be included in the Barcelona first-team setup in the near future, especially in the midst of an injury crisis at Barcelona.
Barcelona’s plan with Noah Darvich
While youngsters like Pau Prim and Marc Casado have been inducted into first-team training, Barcelona remain cautious about promoting Noah Darvich, reports Diario SPORT.

That is primarily because Darvich has been in the Barcelona system for only a few months. He had notably joined the Barça setup last summer, in a €2.5 million move from SC Freiburg.
Although the player has adapted quickly, Barcelona are willing to wait and analyse the youngster’s growth trajectory before jumping the gun.
Comparisons with Ronald Araujo
The report adds that Barcelona are viewing Noah Darvich with the same lens as Ronald Araujo, a few years ago.
The Uruguayan international also had a spend a prolonged time in the youth department, before he was promoted to the senior side.
Barça expect Darvich to do the same before he can be ready for first-team action.
