With just three months left before the season comes to a close, Barcelona have already started preparing for the season ahead.
The search for a new manager takes precedence over everything else. But the club are also actively working on sealing the long-term future of several young players.
Given the way Barcelona have produced talents in recent years, the club see young players as vital to the project going forward, especially keeping the economic distress in mind.
Barcelona send renewal offers to three youth players
According to Toni Juanmarti, Barcelona have already kickstarted their efforts to nail down the future of their youth players and have sent renewal offers to three players, in particular.
The players in question are Pau Cubarsi, Marc Guiu and Hector Fort. All three of these individuals have made breakthroughs for Barça this season, with Cubarsi, in particular, emerging as a reliable option at the back.

Barcelona are aware of the rather precarious contract situation of each of these three players. While Cubarsi’s contract runs until 2026, both Guiu and Fort will be out of contract in the summer of 2025.
Barcelona, therefore, are determined to nail down the future of these young players and keep hold of them in the long run.
Cubarsi remains the priority
If not anyone else, Barcelona are particularly desperate to renew the contract of defensive gem Pau Cubarsi.
As mentioned earlier, the Spaniard has established himself as a reliable centre-back and started six of the last seven matches for Barcelona.
Juanmarti adds that Cubarsi’s rapid rise to prominence has made him a target for many European clubs. As such, Barça are keen on closing a renewal as soon as possible.
However, the negotiations could be tricky and could continue for several months.
