Barcelona monitoring 18-year-old Spanish centre-forward

Riding on the success of players like Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, Alejandro Balde, Gavi and Pedri, Barcelona continue to bank on young talents to drive the squad in the years to come.

To that end, Barça have made significant manoeuvres, in an attempt to shore up their ranks not only in the first-team but also in the Barça Athletic squad.

As we approach the final phase of the campaign, the Catalans have already started looking out for talents across Europe.

Adrian Liso: Barcelona’s top target this summer

According to Diario SPORT, Barcelona have identified Adrian Liso as an ideal target in the coming summer.

A centre-forward by trade, Liso is one of the great gems of the Real Zaragoza youth academy. The youngster has shown immense potential in recent times and looks set to make a breakthrough in professional football.

Although Liso is still yet to make his professional debut, his blazing displays in the youth competitions have not gone unnoticed.

Barcelona are among the clubs closely tracking the situation of Liso. He is, in fact, one of the top targets, as far as the Barça Atletic setup is concerned.

How Liso could fit into the Barcelona setup

The report adds that Barcelona view Liso as someone, who has the potential to become a top-class player. The club particularly value his attacking prowess and ability to operate in different positions across the final third.

Another aspect that makes Liso an appealing target for the Catalans is the youngster’s contract situation at Real Zaragoza.

The youngster’s current deal at Zaragoza expires in 2025. The Spanish outfit have been trying to extend the player’s contract for quite some time now, although the club have stipulated a unilateral extension as long as he is authorised to sign for the first-team.
