Eddie Howe has revealed that he and the Newcastle United squad will travel to Dubai for a warm-weather training camp after tomorrow’s FA Cup quarter-final at Man City.
With an international break on the horizon and no game until our Premier League clash with West Ham two weeks on Saturday (30th March), Howe believes it’s a good time for the squad to go away and “work on a few things.”
“We’re going to go away [during the international break] as we have done in the last two years.” Howe said. “We’re going to go to Dubai for some warm weather training with the remaining players to work on a few things. I think that’ll be a good time for us.”
The squad have done something similar in previous years, with mid-season trips to Saudi Arabia organised during winter breaks. Hopefully it gives those not away on international duty the chance to build fitness and bond over in the Middle East ahead of our run in.
