Barcelona have been given a chance to dream again. Despite navigating through a season filled with ups and downs, the Catalan giants find themselves in a promising position to turn this campaign into something remarkable.
Indeed, Barça’s form over the past few weeks, specifically since Xavi announced his resignation, has looked solid, with seven wins and three draws in 10 games.
And now they possess an opportunity to go all the way in the Champions League, with PSG awaiting them in the quarterfinals of the competition.
Optimism from the president
President Joan Laporta will be glad to know his side have turned their situation around, considering he was seen losing his cool after the club’s frustrating draw to Granada just a month ago.
When asked to give his thoughts on the fact that the Champions League final will be held at Wembley, Laporta reminisced about the iconic Johan Cruyff lifting the first European Cup at Wembley when Barça beat Sampdoria in 1992.
“Johan won the first European Cup at Wembley… Well, at Wembley, you already know that this year it will also be at Wembley; we’ll see; in any case, we are very excited,” he exclaimed (h/t Victor Navarro).

When later asked if he sees Barcelona at Wembley this season, the president replied: “Paris first.”
Wembley Stadium generally holds many fond memories for Azulgrana fans, with Barcelona also overcoming Manchester United in the 2011 Champions League final at the arena in London.
As such, the prospect of returning to Wembley for the Champions League final is bound to fill onlookers with immense optimism.
But before that dream can become a reality, the Blaugranes must defeat PSG in the quarter-finals before locking horns with either one of Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund in the Semi-Finals of the Champions League.
