As we approach the end of the Championship campaign, not every time will have something meaningful to play for with each game, but that isn’t the case with Millwall and West Brom.
Though safe at the moment, Millwall are still close to the relegation zone for comfort and need to collect some points to distance themselves from those positions in the table.
West Brom, meanwhile, are positioned well in the play-offs, but with plenty of points left to play for, they will be wary of Hull, Coventry and Preston, all of whom are still in with a shout of making the play-offs.
Current Form
Millwall’s Current Form
Millwall’s recent form sort of sums up their season. Out of their last six games, they have won three, lost two and drawn one. It is this kind of inconsistency that has left them languishing in the bottom half of the table.
In their last game, they were defeated 2-0 by Leeds.
West Brom’s Current Form
West Brom, meanwhile, are looking good heading into this one, with four wins and two draws from their last six.
Key to their recent form has been the performances of Celtic loanee Mikey Johnston, who has five goals to his name in his last five appearances.
Team News
Kevin Nisbet remains out for Millwall and may not play again this season, depending on how his hamstring deals with a return to training in April.
West Brom’s forward line has been decimated by injuries this campaign, but they could welcome back Josh Maja after Brandon Thomas-Asante also returned recently against Huddersfield.
Daryl Dike is a long-term absentee after rupturing his achilles, though Matt Phillips might be available after nearing the end of rehabilitation from a hamstring issue.
Scoreline Prediction
Millwall haven’t lost this month and have regained some confidence at home with two straight 1-0 victories at The Den.
West Brom have been free-scoring recently but Millwall will be buoyed by their recent upturn in form so this one is looking likely to be a draw, maybe 1-1.
