Barcelona came through against Las Palmas with an important win and a rather impressive performance as Raphinha scored a headed winner in the second half to seal all three points for the hosts.
However, during the game, Barcelona had multiple opportunities to kill off the game, with chances falling to Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Joao Felix.
In fact, the match seemed to be have been heading towards how matches earlier this season, where Barcelona have bottled the game after not being able to finish off their chances.
Fortunately, though, this time Barcelona had Pau Cubarsi at the heart of their defence, who headed away all danger late in the game as Las Palmas were trying to get back into the game.

Pau Cubarsi was responsible for 89 of these passes, misplacing only two of his attempts through the 90 minutes.
His performance had analyst and journalist Alex Delmas in disbelief, who spoke about his passing network in a tweet, saying, “There are defences that do not generate as much ‘play’ even in five full games.”

Contract extension underway
Cubarsi was one of the standout performers for Barcelona last night, but this was not even his top two displays this month.
