Update on Livramento, Lascelles & Almiron injuries ahead of Everton and Fulham clashes

Update on Livramento, Lascelles & Almiron injuries ahead of Everton and Fulham clashes

It sounds like four players who featured in yesterday’s heroic 4-3 win over West Ham will be missing for Tuesday night’s clash with Everton.

As revealed by The Mail’s Craig Hope, it’s believed Jamaal Lascelles (knee), Tino Livramento (ankle) and Miguel Almiron (knee) are all unlikely to make the midweek game at St James’ Park, while Anthony Gordon is facing a one-game ban after receiving a second booking in stoppage time.

The Athletic’s Chris Waugh also reports that the injured trio are also considered ‘significant doubts’ for Saturday’s trip to Fulham.

Lascelles tried to continue after an awkward collision with Michail Antonio but immediately pulled up, Livramento’s suffered an ankle twist and Miggy twisted his knee while trying to deliver a cross soon after he was subbed on. With a trip to Fulham to follow on Satu

Speaking after the game on all three concerns, Howe said: “Jamaal is a knee problem but I don’t know any more than that. Tino, I think the ball hit his ankle so it’s an ankle twist. Miggy twisted his knee crossing the ball but I don’t have any details.

“It’s been the story of our season. Unfortunately, we were getting hit left, right and centre today. We were 1-0 up, and then Jamaal goes off. Miggy goes off, Anthony is sent off, and Tino (Livramento) goes off.

“It is a catalogue, one after another, but the players we brought on made a positive impact, and that’s the beauty of our squad.”

❌ Sounds like Newcastle will be doing well to have any of Lascelles (knee), Almiron (knee) & Livramento (ankle) for Tuesday versus Everton. Gordon (one match) also suspended following red card

⚽️ Still, a lot of feel-good & momentum will wash over from today, you suspect…
