Americans Abroad Midweek Rewind: Tillman, McKennie, and more

Malik Tillman’s impactful loan spell in the Netherlands continued Tuesday with a stellar performance vs. Excelsior.

Tillman registered one assist in PSV’s 2-0 Eredivisie victory, keeping them top of the league table by nine points. The U.S. men’s national team attacker played 90 minutes at left wing, winning eight of 12 duels, making two interceptions, and drawing one foul.

Tillman’s assist on Johan Bakayoko’s eighth league goal of the campaign wrapped up another three points for Peter Bosz’s men. The 21-year-old now has six goals and seven assists in Eredivisie play, continuing to play a leading role in PSV’s title charge.

PSV’s league schedule continues Saturday with a home match against AZ Alkmaar.

In Italy, Juventus took one step to reaching the Coppa Italia Final after Weston McKennie‘s impact first leg performance vs. Lazio.

In England, Antonee Robinson and Fulham suffered a road loss at Nottingham Forest.
