Crystal Palace vs Manchester City Predicted Lineups

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City Predicted Lineups

Both Crystal Palace and Manchester City have a number of selection issues heading into Saturday’s Premier League lunchtime kick-off at Selhurst Park.

City are embroiled in a title race but have had numerous games recently which led to Pep Guardiola freshening up his starting XI in the victory against Aston Villa during the week.

We could see some big guns returning for the Palace game, though.

Palace are hopeful that Michael Olise will make a return soon as he hasn’t played for a month, but the City game might come too quickly.

Cheick Doucoure, Matheus Franca, Marc Guehi, Rob Holding, Sam Johnstone and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi are all injured.

Crystal Palace (3-4-3): Henderson; Ward, Anderson, Lerma; Munoz, Hughes, Wharton, Mitchell; Eze, Mateta, J. Ayew.

City still have a few influential names out with injury including Ederson, Nathan Ake and Kyle Walker.

John Stones could make an appearance after featuring on the bench in the last two games after being injured on international duty with England.

Stefan Ortega and Rico Lewis will continue to deputise for the injured Ederson and Walker, while Josko Gvardiol will continue at left-back.

Guardiola rested Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland for the last game and City did just fine as they swept Villa aside, but both could be reinstated into the starting XI in order to get them firing before Madrid.

Man City (4-1-4-1): Ortega; Lewis, Dias, Akanji, Gvardiol; Rodri; Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne, Foden, Grealish; Haaland.
