West Ham join race for Liverpool target Tosin Adarabioyo ahead of summer

West Ham are the latest club to express an interest in Fulham star Tosin Adarabioyo as the defender is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

The centre-back is a mainstay in Marco Silva’s team having featured in 23 games during the current campaign, scoring two goals. The Cottagers have offered the 26-year-old a new deal but nothing has been signed as of now and that has prompted Premier League clubs to keep an eye on his situation.

According to Football Insider, West Ham have joined the race for Adarabioyo as centre-back is an area of the Hammers squad that David Moyes is keen to strengthen this summer. The East London outfit currently have Nayef Aguerd, Kurt Zouma, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Angelo Ogbonna on the books at centre-back but the last of those is set to leave this summer.

The Fulham star would be a great addition as he is a Premier League-ready defender having featured in 76 English top-flight matches across the 130 appearances he has made for his current club.

According to the report, Premier League duo Liverpool and Tottenham are also keen on a potential deal for Adarabioyo as they look to strengthen their defences ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

The Reds are set to lose Joel Matip at the end of the season due to his contract expiring and the 26-year-old is a candidate to replace the 32-year-old at Anfield.

In addition to the English clubs, Monaco, AC Milan and other Serie A clubs are also considering a move for the Fulham star as it starts to look increasingly unlikely that the Cottagers will keep hold of the centre-back.
