Thierry Henry believes there is one element of Erling Haaland’s game that he needs to improve on after the Norwegian had a quiet night against Real Madrid.
The European Champions played out a pulsating 3-3 draw in the Bernabeu with both teams scoring stunning goals.
Bernardo Silva opened the scoring with a clever free kick before Madrid hit back through a Ruben Dias own goal and Rodrygo.
The second half saw three unbelievable strikes as Phil Foden levelled the scores and Josko Gvardiol gave City the lead, before Fede Valverde volleyed Los Blancos level.
Henry reveals where Haaland can improve
It was another quiet night for the Norwegian who was well shackled by Antonio Rudiger throughout.
There is no doubting Haaland’s ability to score goals and he already has 30 goals in all competitions this season but there have been question marks raised over the rest of his game.
Haaland has face criticism for his all round game this season.
Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane described Haaland as a League Two player when he has to drop deep and get involved with the build up play.
After the game Henry was on hand with some advice on how the 23-year-old can improve his all round game.
“I always always say that I’ve seen strikers not scoring but playing really well for the team away from home and doing exactly what you need to for your team away from home, or even at home”, Henry told CBS Sports.
“But more often than not you judge a striker for his goals, fair enough, we already know that.
“People can get better and I believe in that. But there is one thing that he doesn’t do ever so well, and he’s always shoulder to shoulder with the defender, so you can go like this, and get your foot around.
