It would take hours to dissect everything that’s been going wrong with this Manchester United side this season, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside for his latest Daily Briefing column, Romano explained that it’s been a poor season for Man Utd, and that it looks to be a combination of problems with the players and with manager Erik ten Hag.
One imagines there will be serious pressure on Ten Hag if things don’t improve soon, though Romano has previously informed us of positive initial talks between the Dutch tactician and new co-owners INEOS.
United surely need Champions League football for next season, though, and at the moment it looks unlikely they’ll get it, with just one win from their last seven Premier League games.

According to Romano, even if this season hasn’t been good enough for United, it’s also important to remember the long list of injuries they’ve suffered.
“It’s now just one win from the last seven Premier League games for Manchester United after yesterday’s 2-2 draw away to Bournemouth. It’s another disappointing result, and Erik ten Hag clearly didn’t seem happy as he walked out of his press conference after the game when asked about potentially guiding Man United to their lowest finish in the Premier League era,” Romano said.
