Luis Enrique made some bold calls in his starting lineup during the first-leg of Barcelona vs PSG, not all of which paid off, including starting Marco Asensio as the false 9 and Kang-in Lee in midfield.
However, he has made three important changes to his side from the first leg hoping to overcome the 2-3 deficit at the Olympic Montjuic Stadium in Barcelona.
The first of these changes comes in defence, as Achraf Hakimi is back from suspension, and starts as the right-back. Nuno Mendes will take responsibility for providing the width from the left side of the quartet.
Captain Marquinhos has been shifted to central defence, and Lucas Hernandez has preserved his place alongside him over Lucas Beraldo, screening Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Warren Zaire-Emery returns to the lineup ahead of Lee, starting in midfield. Fabian Ruiz assisted Vitinha for PSG’s second goal against Barcelona, and both of them retain their spot in the trident.
There is one major change in attack as Asensio has been benched, with Lucho opting to use Bradley Barcola as the left-winger. This means Kylian Mbappe will operate largely as the centre-forward, while Ousmane Dembele gets the nod as the right-winger.
Confirmed PSG XI:Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Hernandez, Mendes; Zaire-Emery, Vitinho, Ruiz; Dembele, Mbappe, Barcola
