Americans Abroad Midweek Preview: Weah, McKennie, and more

Juventus’ quest to win Serie A this season might be over, but reaching the Coppa Italia Final remains very much in grasp.

Tim Weah, Weston McKennie, and the rest of the Old Lady squad travels to Lazio for the second leg of their semifinal showdown with Lazio. Weah is coming off a 68-minute performance against Cagliari on Friday while McKennie came off the bench in the second half to play the final 22+ minutes.

Both players will be pushing to start in Rome this week, knowing advancement to May’s Coppa Italia Final will be a strong conclusion to a positive season for the club. McKennie and Weah will have U.S. men’s national team aspirations this summer but first will aim to lift a trophy at club level.

In England, Auston Trusty and Sheffield United face Manchester United. Haji Wright and Coventry City host Hull City.

In France, Folarin Balogun and AS Monaco host Lille.

Elsewhere, Alex Zendejas and Club America resume CONCACAF Champions Cup play.
