Lewandowski rules out Barcelona exit

Robert Lewandowski has made it perfectly clear he has no intention of leaving Barcelona this summer.

Back in December, in the buildup to the winter transfer window, the 35-year-old striker was tipped to leave the Catalan club in the near future, with reports claiming his entourage had been approached by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) with a view of a potential move which would see him follow former Real Madrid stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema to Saudi Arabia.

Lewandowski, La Liga’s top goalscorer from last season, didn’t get off to the best of starts this time around, which no doubt led to the stories about Barcelona eyeing potential replacements. However, his form has picked up since, and in all competitions in 2023/24, he now has 32 goal involvements (23 goals, nine assists) across 44 appearances, including a hat-trick in the 4-2 victory over Valencia on Monday.

🚨🔵🔴 Robert Lewandowski: “Leaving Barça for me this summer is definitely not possible, it’s not a topic”.

“I physically feel good. As of today, this is the case for at least 2 more years. When I’m physically no longer at a top level, I’d start thinking”, told BILD. pic.twitter.com/mE2IR9LhJy
