Pablo Torre was signed by FC Barcelona in the summer of 2022 following an exceptional season with Racing Santander.
However, things did not work out well for the Spanish midfield prodigy in Catalonia in his debut season, with minutes not forthcoming under Xavi Hernandez.
As a result, the youngster was loaned out last summer to Girona in the hope that he would get regular game-time which would help his development. But that has been far from the case.
Pablo Torre will not be at Barcelona next season
With the season now close to coming to an end, the matter of Pablo Torre’s future is a matter of discussion at Barcelona.
And, as per Javi Miguel of AS, as things stand, the 21-year-old starlet’s continuity at Barça next season is ‘totally out of the question’.
Torre’s stint at Girona has failed to deliver on expectations as he has struggled to carve out a place for himself in Michel’s plans this season.

Even though Torre has played 27 times in all competitions, only five of them have been starts, with the midfielder producing a tally of one goal and two assists.
Given his lack of impact and the competition for places already in the Barcelona midfield department, there is simply no way back for him in Xavi’s plans for next season.
A loan exit or a permanent departure?
As such, Barcelona must now decide their next course of action as far as Torre’s future is concerned and take a call on whether to loan him out again or sell him permanently.
Reports last month seemed to suggest that the Catalans would be open to listening to offers for the 21-year-old midfield talent.
In fact, there does not appear to be a shortage of suitors, with the likes of Real Betis, Real Sociedad, Mallorca, Valencia, and Villarreal all keeping tabs on him.
