Malik Tillman’s impressive loan spell at PSV has led to the U.S. men’s national team star earning a permanent move to the club.
Tillman joined PSV on a permanent transfer from Bayern Munich, signing with the club until June 2028. The news comes on the same day as PSV did not exercise the purchase option for Sergino Dest.
“I am very happy to stay longer at PSV. The first season has been great and I hope we will continue to win a lot of prizes in the coming years,” said Tillman. “That gives me the confidence that I am in the right place here and that I can develop into an even better footballer here.”
Tillman originally joined PSV on loan last August and enjoyed plenty of success in the Netherlands. The 21-year-old scored nine goals and added 15 assists in 37 combined appearances as PSV lifted the league title and reached the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
Despite signing a contract extension with Bayern Munich last summer, Tillman now rejoins international teammate Ricardo Pepi in Eindhoven.
“I am extremely happy that he is staying,” PSV manager Peter Bosz said. “He is only 21 years old, but has already made so many steps in his development this year. That is great to see and I am curious to see how he will continue to develop.”
Tillman has two final matches remaining on his schedule before entering a busy summer with the USMNT.
