According to talkSPORT, Manchester United are attempting to hijack Tosin Adarabioyo’s proposed move to St James’ Park.
Over the last few days, widespread reports have revealed that the 26-year-old is closing in on a summer switch to Newcastle as he prepares to leave Fulham on a free transfer.
He’s believed to be impressed by the project under new owners and keen to work with Eddie Howe after talks, However, talkSPORT claim Man Utd are making a late push for the 6ft 5′ centre-back after confirming Raphael Varane’s departure.
Alex Crook reports that the Red Devils’ recently-appointed director Jason Wilcox is eager to be reunited with Tosin, who he knows well after working with him in the youth ranks at Manchester City.
Hopefully the defender already has his mind made up and won’t be swayed by late interest from Old Trafford, as he’d be a shrewd addition and just what we need given our lack of pace at centre-back and ACL injuries to Jamaal Lascelles and Sven Botman.
