Newcastle star suffers ankle injury – Club confirm he’ll miss Man Utd and Brentford games

Tino Livramento has been ruled out of tonight’s clash with Man Utd and Sunday’s final game of the season at Brentford due to an ankle injury.

The right-back is not in the squad tonight, seeing Kieran Trippier make his first start for over two months, and the club have explained Tino won’t play again this season after suffering a another issue with his ankle; which he injured in our 4-3 win over West Ham six weeks ago.

In a brief update on X, the club said: ‘Tino Livramento misses out this evening due to an ankle injury and he will also be sidelined for Sunday’s game against Brentford. Wishing you a speedy recovery, @tino_livramento’

NUFC XI vs Man Utd: Dubravka – Trippier, Krafth, Burn, Hall – Longstaff, Bruno, Anderson – Murphy, Isak, Gordon. SUBS: Pope, Dummett, Schar, Joelinton, Ritchie, Almiron, White, A Murphy.

Back to tonight, this really does feel huge. Avoid defeat and we’ll practically guarantee our first Premier League finish over Man Utd – who would be three points behind us with far worse goal difference with one game to play should they draw – but a win could be needed with Chelsea (level on points with us in 7th) taking on Brighton tonight.
