Thomas Frank says being at Brentford gives him the “perfect football life” amid reports he is on Manchester United’s shortlist to replace Erik ten Hag.
Ten Hag continues to cling on at Old Trafford, last night’s win over Newcastle United enhancing their chances of playing European football next season while they still have the FA Cup final against Manchester City to look forward to.

The suspicion persists, however, that new minority owner Jim Ratcliffe could look to replace the Dutchman come the summer with Frank mentioned as a possible successor.
But prising him out of Brentford may not be straightforward.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s final game of the season against Newcastle United, Frank said: “I think it is the perfect football life for me [here]. I think it would be for any manager, head of media, player or staff member.
“It is probably the same for City, Arsenal or Liverpool, but a club of that size competes for titles. There are so many good things here and so many structures and processes and people that make it the best possible place for a lot of people to work at.
“The culture is good, we are striking in the same direction, it is aligned. It’s less stressful. Before we started, I was confident we’d never lose five in a row in the Premier League, but boom, a reality check in January, but I am happy here.”
Asked if he can fulfil his ambitions at the Gtech Community Stadium, he added: “I can’t see why not. Ambition is many things.
“Of course you never know what is going to happen in the future, maybe I stay here for the rest of my time in football, maybe I go to another club.
