After his email blunders came to light this week following a couple of hard-hitting exclusives from Craig Hope, it’s been amusing to watch the ever-opinionated Simon Jordan tear into Dan Ashworth on talkSPORT.
Jordan not only describes Ashworth as “gormless” for accidentally sending emails to his Newcastle account that revealed secret talks with Man Utd, but explains why he doesn’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to complaints over his gardening leave.
After Jim White claims it’s “ridiculous” that our former sporting director could be stuck on leave until the end of 2025, Jordan insists it was Ashworth’s decision to sign the Newcastle contract and must respect the terms of his leave if Jim Ratcliffe isn’t prepared to stump up the cash.
