Vitor Roque is one of the few Barcelona players who could stand to benefit from the departure of Xavi Hernandez.
After joining the club in January, Roque has endured a horrid spell in Barcelona, often struggling to establish himself as a trusted option under Xavi.
It was reported that there was a lack of communication and transparency in the way Xavi handled the Roque situation. But with the Spaniard leaving at the end of the season, Roque’s fortunes may change in the coming summer.
Barcelona make decision over Roque
However, as reported by Diario SPORT, it appears Barcelona have not changed their stance on Vitor Roque.
The Catalans believe the best thing for the Brazilian international will be a loan deal elsewhere so that he can gain experience in European football.
However, the final decision will be made by Hansi Flick, who is likely to be officiated as the Barcelona coach as soon as next week.

Flick, who is not averse to giving opportunities to young players, is expected to assess the squad properly. His direct style of football, after all, could aid players like Roque.
What does Vitor Roque stand?
The report adds that Vitor Roque’s entourage believes if the forward leaves the club, it should come in the form of a permanent deal.
The player’s representatives are not in favour of a loan deal, which is hardly surprising as Barcelona have shown very little faith since he joined the club.
If Barcelona refuse to try their luck with Roque under Flick, there is reason why they can’t maintain that stance even after a loan spell elsewhere.
Furthermore, Roque is one of the players who may face contractual issues post June 30, so if Barcelona truly do want to offload the Brazilian, a permanent deal could be the way forward.
