Newcastle United have released two emotional videos of both Paul Dummett and Matt Ritchie after it was recently announced that they would be leaving the club following the end of their contracts this summer.
Dummett, a boyhood Newcastle fan, had been at the club since the age of eight, working his way up to the first-team where he made his debut back in 2013 and would go on to play 213 times for the club.
Ritchie was an astute signing at the time as he was key in helping Newcastle gain Promotion back to the Premier League, and despite being out of the team these last few years, his energy and motivation off the pitch has been invaluable.
The former Bournemouth man played 215 times for Newcastle, smashing a whole load of corner flags along the way, and will no doubt one day go on to have a good coaching career elsewhere.
23 years at his boyhood club. A senior debut in January 2013. 213 competitive appearances in the black and white. ⚫️⚪️

While supporters acknowledge that it was simply time for them both to move on, especially with no European football next year, the pair will be sorely missed amongst both the fans and the players.
