Newcastle are one of a handful of Premier League clubs to enquire about Besiktas wonderkid Semih Kilicsoy, according to Graeme Bailey at HITC.
The 18-year-old has been in brilliant form for the Turkish club this season, netting 11 times in 23 league games and attracting huge interest in the process heading into the summer transfer window.
Alongside Newcastle, it’s believed Tottenham, Man Utd, Man City and Arsenal are also showing interest in the teenage sensation.
Given his age, there’s a strong chance that Kilicsoy would not be demanding first-team football straight away, which would be ideal for a Newcastle side who could sign a young forward and experienced backup to cover for Alexander Isak now Callum Wilson looks increasingly likely to leave.
The forward also has reported suitors elsewhere in Europe with PSG, Bayer Leverkusen, Monaco and Bayern Munich keen on bringing him it, so Newcastle face a very uphill battle to persuade the young man to Tyneside.
