Saturday night will see the Champions League final played at Wembley Stadium between Spanish giants, Real Madrid, and Bundesliga side, Borussia Dortmund.
The match is expected to be an 80,000 sell out as Los Blancos look to extend their record in the competition to an astonishing 15 wins.
Dortmund have only two UCL titles by comparison, and are clearly the underdogs for this game.
Champions League final is the big one says Romano
It’s the first time the German side have been in the final since they were at Wembley back in 2013, losing to a last-minute goal from Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben.
Since then, Real Madrid have owned the competition, winning five of the following 10 finals.
They really are the Kings of the Champions League, and this year have some big personalities that could drive them on to victory.
Certainly, were Jude Bellingham to emerge again as one of Real’s match winners on his home patch, there’d be a decent argument for the England international to be this year’s Ballon d’Or, given the impact he’s made since moving to Spain.
Stories will be written all over the pitch, with the return of Thibaut Courtois in goal for Carlo Ancelotti’s side just one of them.
CaughtOffside columnist, Fabrizio Romano, is certainly up for the cup.
“This evening it’s the big one! The Champions League final from Wembley, and what a fantastic game in prospect,” he said for his exclusive Daily Briefing.
“Both sides seem relaxed and ready for the game, and I expect Vinicius and Sancho to be the two main faces of this game, for sure.
“But I’m also super curious to see Courtois back after so long, that will be special.
“I’m not good at predictions but… I feel it will go to extra time!”
