Newcastle suffer major Tosin Adarabioyo blow – Fabrizio Romano

Some bad news to report on the transfer front as it looks like Newcastle have missed out on a deal for Tosin Adarabioyo.

In a Saturday morning exclusive from Fabrizio Romano, it’s emerged that Chelsea are now closing in on deal to sign the out of contract centre back, with negotiations at the ‘final stages.’

Romano insists that Newcastle have been working on a deal ‘for weeks’, but the Blues are now ‘clear favourites’ to sign the 26-year-old after moving to hijack his proposed switch to St James’ Park earlier this week.

Unless there’s another twist, Tosin will become the first signing for new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, with the 6ft 5’ centre back seemingly being tempted in by the money and offer of European football at Stamford Bridge over game time and a chance to work with Eddie Howe.

A real shame, as we’ve clearly worked hard on what would’ve been a real bargain for the club, but we must now move onto other targets.‬
