Newcastle star struggling with end-of-season injury ahead of Euro 2024 – Report

Newcastle and England winger Anthony Gordon is set to miss tomorrow’s friendly against Bosnia at St James’ Park due to an ongoing ankle problem, according to Craig Hope at The Mail.

Even though the season has finished, Newcastle are still being haunted by injury issues, with this thought to be the same knock that kept him out of our final day win at Brentford. It’s thought the injury was picked up from Sofyan Amrabat’s lunging tackle that denied us a blatant penalty at Man itd last month.

It’s understood that missing the game would just be a precaution and that they expect him to be available for the tournament, but we’ll have to hope it does not hamper is availability and performances as Gareth Southgate prepares to name his final squad on June 8th..

Hopefully Gordon can still enjoy a successful tournament with England and return fully rested for our the start of our pre-season and the new campaign, in which there will now be a lot of pressure to get European football.

🚨 Anthony Gordon a doubt for England game v Bosnia at home ground of St James’ Park
