Dani Olmo is set to be a man in demand in the upcoming summer transfer window, with the RB Leipzig ace a target for several big clubs, including FC Barcelona.
Indeed, Barça have taken a keen interest in re-signing Olmo, a former La Masia trainee, in order to reinforce the left flank before next season.
Beyond that, Bayern Munich are also keen to sign the 26-year-old versatile forward, who is currently with the Spanish national team preparing for UEFA Euro 2024.
Olmo sat down for an interview with Mundo Deportivo today during which he was asked about the interest in his services coming from Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
In response, the Spanish international stated that he is calm about the situation and that he feels good and valued that big clubs are being linked with him.
“I’m calm and focused on what’s coming up, which is the European Championship, which is no small thing,” Olmo said.

“Of course it’s good to see your name linked with big teams in Europe and the world, it motivates me, but I’m focused on the European Championship and I hope we can come back with the trophy. Then we’ll see.”
Olmo’s name has been linked with Barcelona almost every summer window in recent years and the situation is the same again this year. Asked about the continued interest of his former club, the Spaniard said:
“It’s nice to see your name linked to the big clubs, but I insist, it’s nothing that will distract me. I’m focused on the pitch and then what will be, will be.”
Olmo is a player that Barcelona like a lot, but his €60 million release clause could become an impediment for the club given their financial woes.
Considering that the Catalans also want to sign a top pivot midfielder, whether they will have the funds to go after Olmo as well remains to be seen.
