Although the summer transfer window doesn’t officially open until July 1, it appears that West Ham United have already been trying to get well ahead of their rivals.
The East Londoners perhaps have the memories of 12 months ago fresh in their minds and don’t want a repeat.

It’s believed that this is because the club wanted to use the bulk of the Rice money to pay for any new incoming signings, rather than have chairman, David Sullivan, put his hand in his pocket.

One that they’ve been consistently linked with is 18-year-old Palmeiras sensation, Luis Guilherme.
West Ham United continue talks to sign Brazilian youngster Luis Guilherme.
With a deal for Fabricio Bruno appearing to slip through their fingers, the last thing Steidten needs is for a similar ending to the Guilherme story.
However, Fabrizio Romano‘s latest update should please Hammers fans.
“West Ham have been busy in the transfer market and Luis Guilherme is really close, I’d say one step away,” he said to CaughtOffside for his Daily Briefing.
“We have to wait for the medical and contract signing, but the agreement with Palmeiras for €30m package is done.

Despite his young age, Guilherme is a hugely exciting talent, and if West Ham can get the deal over the line it could ignite…
