Following the initial weekend, the next two rounds of matches are scheduled for August 24-25 and August 31-September 1.

After these fixtures, there will be a break for international duty, providing teams with a brief respite before diving back into league play.

Impact of the Expanded Champions League

One significant factor influencing the scheduling of the 2024/25 Serie A season is the expanded Champions League format.

This new format involves 36 teams and requires each squad to play eight games in the first phase alone.

As a result, the Serie A calendar has been adjusted to accommodate these additional fixtures.

Uncertainty in Week 4 Fixtures

Although the Serie A season’s start dates are set, there remains some uncertainty regarding the Week 4 fixtures.

The exact dates and times for these games will not be finalized until after August 30, once the Champions League fixture list is confirmed.
