BBC leak early England team news – Is this the starting 11 set to start vs Serbia?

England’s Euro 2024 campaign gets underway tonight with an 8pm clash with Serbia and some early team news has emerged ahead of kick-off.

BBC Sport report that Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi will partner John Stones at centre-back, with Kyle Walker (right-back) and Newcastle’s very own Kieran Trippier (left-back) expected to complete the back four ahead of Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The Telegraph’s Matt Law reveals that Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to start in midfield alongside Declan Rice and Jude Bellingham, with Bukayo Saka (RW), Phil Foden (LW) and Harry Kane (ST) completing Gareth Southgate’s attack.

Expected England XI:Pickford – Walker, Stones, Guehi, Trippier – Rice, Alexander-Arnold – Saka, Bellingham, Foden – Kane.

If this early team news is true, it’ll mean Anthony Gordon will take his place on the bench alongside the likes of Cole Palmer, Ebere Eze, Adam Wharton, Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins, while former Mag Aleksandar Mitrovic is expected to lead the line for Serbia.
