Belgium open their Euro 2024 campaign against Slovakia tomorrow with time running out for their ‘Golden Generation’.
It may be the last major tournament for the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Jan Vertonghen and Axel Witsel and they will be desperate to make an impression in Germany. They come in in good form having not lost in their last 15 matches stretching back to a surprise group stage exit at the 2022 World Cup.
They certainly won’t be short of goals with Romelu Lukaku netting 14 times in their eight qualifying games.
Domenico Tedesco’s men ought to be strong for Slovakia, who are attempting to better their group-stage exit at Euro 2020.
Slovakia have looked sharp in the build-up though with back-to-back 4-0 wins against San Marino and Wales.
