Harry Kane is hoping England’s key men can continue their impressive club form at Euro 2024, starting tonight against Serbia.
The Three Lions open their campaign in Geksenkirchen aiming to go one better than at the last European Championship, when they lost to Italy in the final on a penalty shoot-out.
Captain Kane will spearhead England’s challenge after a wonderful first season at Bayern Munich from an individual perspective in which he led the Bundesliga goalscoring charts with 36 in just 32 appearances.
Gareth Southgate can also call on Champions League winner Jude Bellingham, who sparkled during his debut season at Real Madrid, and Phil Foden, whose game went to new heights as Manchester City retained their Premier League title.

Kane told the BBC’s 5Live’s Daily Podcast: “It is a fantastic squad.
“I think it is hard to say if it is the most talented, we have had talented squads throughout the whole of England’s history.
“But I think what I would say about this one is that it is probably the most in-form squad we have had when you look at the players and the seasons they have had for their clubs, I think everyone is really ready.
“We have all had great seasons so time will tell, you have to turn club form into international form and that is what we will be looking to do and we have had a couple of weeks now to prepare with each other and we have got to go and show that.”
Kane has high hopes
Such are England’s riches that Kane admitted it would be a major letdown if England don’t lift the trophy in Berlin next month.
“If we don’t win, we’re going to be disappointed,” he added.
“As much as you can be unlucky and go out on penalties, we really want to win and start winning as a national team because we have been taking steps towards this moment. It is going to be tough, we know that, but we’re…
