Poland vs Netherlands Predicted Lineups: Likely XIs

There’s an intriguing Euros clash at the Volksparkstadion on Sunday as Poland battle the Netherlands.

Both Michal Probierz and Ronald Koeman have major selection issues heading into this one, so let’s see how their respective squads are shaping up.

Unfortunately for Poland, they will be without talisman Robert Lewandowski at least for the opening match after he hurt his thigh. He faces a battle to feature in the next game versus Austria.

Krzysztof Piatek, Adam Buksa or Karol Swiderski are options to replace him as the starting striker.

Matty Cash and Arkadiusz Milik well not feature in the tournament due to injury.

Key player – Poland

With Lewandowski out of the picture, Piotr Zielinski will need to step up for Poland.

Ronald Koeman has had to deal with a number of high-profile injuries to key players recently. Within the last week, he has lost Frenkie de Jong and Teun Koopmeiners, neither of whom will play any part in the tournament.

Brian Brobbey has suffered a hamstring injury which has ruled him out of the opener.

Koeman has called up Ian Maatsen and Joshua Zirkzee as replacements for his injured players.

Is Virgil van Dijk the Netherlands’ only world-class player…?

Poland (3-4-2-1): Szczesny; Bednarek, Dawidowicz, Kiwior; Frankowski, Moder, Slisz, Zalewski; Zielinski, Urbanski; Buksa

Netherlands (4-3-2-1): Verbruggen; Dumfries, De Vrij, Van Dijk, Ake; Reijnders, Schouten, Veerman; Simons, Gakpo; Depay
