Andy Robertson was pleased with a much-improved Scotland display as they kept their Euro 2024 campaign alive with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland.
Scotland got their first point on the board, battling for a draw after Xherdan Shaqiri cancelled out Scott McTominay’s opener in Cologne.
The draw saw the Tartan Army bounce from a horror 5-1 defeat to Germany in their first game and captain Robertson was quick to praise his team-mates.
The Liverpool left-back told BBC Sport: “[It was] more like us, much more like us. Aggressive, on the front foot, couldn’t get off to a better start.
“We make a mistake but make no mistake about it, Tony Ralston was unbelievable after that mistake. Second half, he was different class.
“We had our chances but so did they. We were a lot more happy with that performance.
“We’ll take the draw and we’ve taken it into the last game and that’s all we can ask.”
FULL TIME: Scotland 1-1 Switzerland.
A goalless second half sees the points shared in Köln.

All eyes on Sunday
Sunday’s game against Hungary looks to be a winner-takes-all battle for third place, which opens up a path to the last 16.
Hungary are without a point so far and Robertson set his sights on raising their levels even higher ahead of that crucial clash.
The 30-year-old added: “We need to go again Sunday because that’s a massive game for us now.
“We can take a lot of positives from tonight but we can also tweak a little thing and improve even more and that’s a good thing.
“We need to get to bed now and recover. Come Sunday we’ll be good to go with the backing that we’ve got.”
Well played, lads 👏#SCOSWI | #EURO2024 pic.twitter.com/jlZz0gOFXM
