Poland and Austria will both be hoping to register their first points of Euro 2024 when they clash in Berlin tomorrow.

The Poles were unfortunate to go down to the Netherlands in their Group D opener, Wout Weghorst coming off the bench to score a late winner for Ronald Koeman’s men. They are set to be boosted by the return of star striker Robert Lewandowski, who missed the game on Sunday due to a thigh injury.

Austria were equally unlucky to return empty-handed from their game against France. Ralf Rangnick’s men were impressive but were undone by a first-half own goal from Maximilian Wober in a 1-0 defeat.

Rangnick said: “We know the situation: we have to beat Poland if we want to progress. I can’t blame my team at all, we invested what we could and more wasn’t possible. The lads are disappointed that it wasn’t enough for a point, but now our focus turns to the future and on Friday we want to win.”
