Slovakia will look to build on their impressive win over Belgium, and secure a place in the knockout stages of Euro 2024, with a win against Ukraine in Dusseldorf.
Their opening assignment was expected to be the toughest in the group but, having come through that, Francesco Calzona’s men can look forward with optimism knowing one more win, and perhaps even a draw, will be enough for them to advance.
The same cannot be said for Ukraine, who were disappointing in their opening 3-0 defeat to Romania.
Touted by some as dark horses, they simply never got going and were comprehensively beaten. A win here is vital to reignite their hopes.
