Allan Saint-Maximin could be reunited with £20m man as three clubs eye Newcastle star

It looks increasingly likely that Callum Wilson leaves Newcastle United this summer, with clubs in England and Saudi Arabia eyeing the striker.

Ben Jacobs reports that the 32-year-old has received interest from Al-Ahli and Al Fateh, with the former a particularly intriguing link after they struck a deal with Newcastle to sign Allan Saint-Maximin last summer.

West Ham are also named as one of the three clubs keen on Wilson, but it’s believed Newcastle are yet to receive an offer for the former Bournemouth forward signed for £20m four years ago.

As revealed elsewhere, Jacobs reports that Newcastle are open to selling Wilson this summer, which makes some sense given his age, injury record and contract situation. His deal expires next summer, meaning this could be our last chance to secure a decent fee.

It remains to be seen if Wilson has any interest in joining a Saudi Pro League side, but I’m sure he’ll be on the phone to Saint-Maximin if Al-Ahli up their interest in the striker.
