The line-ups have been announced for tonight’s Group D clash between France and Poland in Dortmund.
Two familiar faces return but one of France’s key men has been dropped.
Team News
Kylian Mbappe was included in the France team to face Poland at Euro 2024 today – but there was no place for Antoine Griezmann.
Mbappe returns having missed the game with the Netherlands due to the broken nose he suffered in Les Bleus’ opener against Austria.
The France captain, who will wear a protective facemask, has proved his fitness in recent days by playing, and scoring, in a practice game against a local Paderborn XI.

The absence of Griezmann was all but confirmed by coach Didier Deschamps at yesterday’s press conference, during which he suggested the Atletico Madrid midfielder was fatigued.
Griezmann was not at his best in the goalless draw against the Netherlands, after which Deschamps said: “Antoine Griezmann was better than in the first game [1-0 win over Austria] but was perhaps slightly off the pace on the technical front, which I’m not used to with him.”
Marcus Thuram also makes way after a largely ineffective tournament so far.
Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola comes in for what will be his first appearance at a major tournament.
Poland can count on Robert Lewandowski from the start after the Barcelona star made his return from a thigh injury in the defeat to Austria last time out.
Lukasz Skorupski starts in goal in place of Wojciech Szczesny while Sebastian Szymański, Jakub Moder and Kacper Urbański all come into the starting XI. Out go Adam Buksa, Krzysztof Piątek, Jakub Piotrowski and Bartosz Slisz.
