‘Fake’ – £60m man hits out at Newcastle rumours after Sky Italy make swap deal claim

Tottenham’s Richarlison has shut down a report from Sky Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio claiming he was offered in a part-exchange bid for Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak.

Isak is certainly a wanted man after his 25-goal season over the 2023/24 campaign – the most by a Newcastle player since Alan Shearer in 2004 – and we’ve seen links to Chelsea earlier this week after their ‘enquiry.’

Di Marzio was reporting that Newcastle had recently rejected an offer from Tottenham which included Richarlison in a player-plus-cash deal, but this was rubbished by Richarlison

As you can see below, the Brazilian international commented with the word ‘Fake’ in response to a Spurs account reporting the news from Sky’s Gianluca Di Marzio.

All reports coming from Newcastle suggest that Isak is very happy in the North East and the man himself has made that clear in recent interviews.

The club have no interest in selling our star striker and clearly want to build our team around him, not flog him to a ‘big six’ rival.
