Newcastle confirm three pre-season friendlies – Sela Cup announcement next up?

Newcastle United will take on Hull City in a pre-season friendly at 2pm on Saturday 27th July.

Hull finished seventh in the Championship last season and will welcome Eddie Howe’s Mags to the MKM Stadium next month, just one day before we leave for Japan after being invited to participate in the ‘J. League International Series.

Our tour of Japan will see us play Urawa Red Diamonds (31st July) and Yokohama F. Marinos (3rd August) before returning for the Sela Cup the following weekend, although the participants in this summer’s tournament are yet to be confirmed.

Newcastle are also expected to spend time at Adidas’ headquarters in Germany for a training camp at some stage in July, allowing us to spend time at the £850m World of Sports facility. This is yet to be confirmed, however.

27th July – Hull City vs Newcastle (2pm)
28th July –  Fly to Japan for J. League Series 
31st July –  Urawa Red Diamonds vs Newcastle (7.30pm local time)
3rd August – Yokohama F. Marinos vs Newcastle (7pm local time) 
9th/10th/11th August – Sela Cup (Opponents yet to be announced) 

Tickets will go on sale on Monday 1st July at 2pm, with a 4,500 allocation offered. Prices are £15 for adults, £7.50 for seniors (65+) and 16-22 years, £7.50 for juniors aged 11-15 years and £3.50 for those aged between 2 and 10.
