The quarter-finals are set to serve up more drama and the remaining nations will be looking to their in-form players to continue their hot streaks and help them progress into the last four.

As with most major international tournaments, transfer rumours emerge surrounding those that are standing out and there have been plenty of names linked with a move to the Premier League ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.

They may not always turn out as a success, but it does add to the excitement of an already eagerly anticipated new season.

Youssouf Fofana – France

France have not been at their blistering best so far at Euro 2024 but it does not mean there is not an abundance of talent in their squad.

One of their notable names is 25-year-old Youssouf Fofana of Monaco, who is drawing a lot of attention from the Premier League.

The midfielder has one year left on his contract at the Ligue 1 club and is reportedly of interest to Arsenal and Tottenham during the summer transfer window.

He has been raved about by former Gunner Cesc Fabregas, who said: “He is a very dynamic, strong player, who is good on the ball.

“He’s a modern type of player, who is aggressive and can jump. And he gets box-to-box.”

Joshua Zirkzee – Netherlands

The Dutch always seem to produce gems and Joshua Zirkzee is one of the latest prospects to emerge on the world stage.

Bologna were the surprise package in Serie A last term, finishing fifth and qualifying for the Champions League.
