Lamine Yamal continued to excel at his debut European Championships as Spain eliminated hosts Germany, beating them 2-1 in Stuttgart to book a place in the semi-finals of the competition.
Yamal, 16, started again for La Roja on the right flank. By featuring, the teenage sensation made a record as he became the youngest footballer in history to play a quarter-final game at the Euros.
Having made a lively start to the match, the teenager asked questions of the German defence at every occasion and helped Spain create chances.
In doing so, Yamal became the first teenager on record to create 12+ chances at a single European Championship tournament.
Not stopping at that, the La Masia wonderkid played a big role in Spain’s opening goal as he set Dani Olmo up for his goal in the 51st minute.

With that, Yamal now has three assists at the UEFA Euro 2024 – most by any player so far in the competition.
Furthermore, he also became the first-ever teenager on record to provide three or more assists at a single European Championship or World Cup tournament.
After dazzling with his trickery and magic on the field Yamal came off the pitch in the 63rd minute, making way for his Barcelona teammate Ferran Torres.
During his time on the field, the 16-year-old racked up 32 touches and created three chances, while finishing with two shots on goal (one on target) and an assist to his name. Yamal also won four duels.
Heading into the game, Germany midfielder Toni Kroos had highlighted Yamal as one of the most dangerous players in the Spain side and the youngster proved exactly why.
