Taylor Booth has extended his contract with Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht.
Booth signed a one-year extension until June 2026, the club announced Friday. The 23-year-old heads into this third season with FC Utrecht after originally joining the club in 2022.
“After conversations with my agent, we came to the conclusion that a contract extension for my career is the best step at the moment,” Booth said. “It’s important to me to play a full season. In recent years I have had some unfortunate injuries. I want to stay because I want to show myself in this competition and want to be important to the team. The support of the supporters has also certainly influenced my decision, both in good and lesser times they stand behind me. I’m not done in Utrecht yet.”
Booth has become a regular contributor with FC Utrecht over two seasons, scoring eight goals and adding four assists in 49 combined appearances. Five of those eight goals came this past season as FC Utrecht finished seventh in the league standings.
After making the move to Bayern Munich in 2019, Booth featured for the Under-19’s and Under-21’s frequently. He also was loaned to Austrian side SKN St. Poelten before eventually arriving in Utrecht.
A U.S. men’s national team attacker, Booth will be joined by fellow American Paxten Aaronson for the 2024-25 campaign. Aaronson was loaned to FC Utrecht from parent club, Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this summer.
