Journalist Luis Miguelsanz, reporting for SPORT, has revealed that Clement Lenglet is aware he has no future at Barcelona.
After his loan spell at Aston Villa, the French centre-back returned to Barça. Despite that, however, the defender is fully aware that he won’t be part of the Blaugrana’s plans moving forward.
Hansi Flick, the new manager, has made it clear to the defender that he needs to find a new club in the coming days.
For that, the club is even considering not including him in their United States tour unless he secures a move elsewhere, although they cannot officially prevent him from going if a deal is not yet done.
Barcelona are exploring every avenue for Lenglet
Barcelona are working on reaching an agreement with Lenglet, and they even considered letting him go for free if he waived his remaining salary, but no such deal has been struck.

Clubs from Saudi Arabia have expressed interest, but Lenglet isn’t keen on moving there. Instead, a new loan deal seems more likely. Furthermore, in Italy, teams like Bologna, Napoli, and Roma have shown some interest, but nothing concrete has materialised so far.
It must be noted that Flick’s Barcelona squad is currently experiencing a shortage in the centre-back position, which might give Lenglet some playing time during the pre-season.

For now, several key players are missing from the defence lineup. Pau Cubarsi and Eric Garcia are at the Olympic Games, Andreas Christensen and Jules Kounde are on holiday after the Euro Cup, and Ronald Araujo is recovering from an injury sustained at the Copa America.
This leaves Mika Faye and Inigo Martinez as the only available centre-backs under Flick’s guidance.
The situation with Lenglet is part of a broader challenge for Barcelona as they manage their squad and prepare for the upcoming season.
