After announcing eleven teenagers who have today signed their first professional contracts at the club, Newcastle United have now revealed 14 youngsters who’ve landed scholarships at the club’s Little Benton Academy.
In another Friday afternoon announcement, the club have confirmed the signing of three new youth talents in Kayden Lucas, Ezra Tika-Lemba and Aaron Epia, who have secured full-time scholarships after sealing summer moves.
Lucas – a 16-year-old striker nicknamed ‘Chumpy’ – arrives after impressing Toon scouts at Non-League side Clevedon Town. Tika-Lemba is a winger signing from West Ham, while Epia is a versatile defender joining from Everton.
The other 11 teenagers to land deals ahead of the 2024/25 season include Will Anderson, Guy Bloomer, Jude Cogdon, Jake Durrant, Matheos Ferreira, Henry Johnson, Tyler Jones, Alex O’Donovan, Matt Taylor, Mo Waddani and Kacey Wooster.
Wooster arrived from Southend last summer, while Matheos Ferreira – a winger with Brazilian connections – could be one to watch after his impressive displays in our U18 side.
