FC Barcelona’s players had a noteworthy presence at the Euro 2024, starting with 11 representatives, but only four made it to the final stages.
These players included four from Spain: Pedri, Ferran Torres, Fermin Lopez, and the tournament’s star, Lamine Yamal. Among them, only Yamal managed to secure a starting position, as Pedri was injured, and Torres’ spot was taken by Nico Williams.
Although Barcelona had no players in the England squad, several of their players reached the knockout stages. Here’s a detailed look at how each Barcelona player performed at the recently concluded European Championship.
Spain
Pedri: 6/10
Pedri played four games for Spain, being substituted in each. He provided an assist against Croatia and was beginning to assert his influence when a late challenge from Germany’s Toni Kroos in the quarter-final ended his tournament prematurely.
Fermin Lopez: 3/10
The young midfielder played just 28 minutes during the competition, appearing in Spain’s final group-stage match against Albania. He was benched for the first two games and made a late substitute appearance in the third. He did not feature in the knockout stages.
Ferran Torres: 5/10
Torres started only one game and played a total of 152 minutes, scoring one goal against Albania but failing to register any assists.
Lamine Yamal: 8/10

Lamine Yamal was the standout player, earning the Best Young Player award of the tournament. He finished with one goal and four assists, including one in the final.
Germany
Marc-Andre ter Stegen: N/A
Ter Stegen did not play in any matches, as Manuel Neuer was Germany’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Ilkay Gundogan: 6/10
Gundogan started all five of Germany’s matches, scoring once and providing one assist. He shone in the group stage but couldn’t replicate his form in the knockout rounds, where Germany was eliminated by Spain.
Portugal
