FC Barcelona are on the cusp of returning to the 1:1 rule in La Liga, allowing them to spend every euro they earn.
That would greatly simplify the transfer market for the Catalan giants, who have high ambitions and are keen on signing prominent players such as Nico Williams and Mikel Merino.
However, the club still needs to make cuts to their roster, and selling a high-profile player like Raphinha would be the most ideal outcome for a team grappling with financial troubles.
Raphinha could be on his way to Aston Villa
Now, the opportunity to return to the Premier League is arising for Raphinha.
According to SPORT, Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad have been strongly linked with Aston Villa winger Moussa Diaby.
Barça are closely monitoring these negotiations, as they are aware that if the deal goes through, Aston Villa could actively seek a new right winger in the form of Raphinha.

The Villans are reportedly set to receive around €65-70 million, potentially paving the way for an approach for Raphinha, as the sum coincides with what Barcelona are asking for the Brazilian.
Barcelona would be open to selling Raphinha
Despite his dominant form this year, Barcelona have considered a transfer for Raphinha throughout 2024, given he is one of their most lucrative assets.
Saudi Arabia giants were open to splashing big on the Brazilian winger, but the player did not entertain those offers.
However, a high-profile team in the Premier League may float the 27-year-old winger’s boat.
Raphinha, for his part, is currently focused solely on Barça, as he indicated on social media. “We’re going for the third year,” he commented on a Barcelona post, referencing his two years with the club.
But the signing of Nico Williams would heighten the competition in the squad and a potential offer by Saudi Arabia may tempt Raphinha to opt for a change in scenery.
