Barcelona ranked the world’s third most valuable football club brand

The renowned international brand valuation and strategy consultancy, Brand Finance, has recently released its annual ranking of the top 50 football clubs with the highest financial valuations. 

In this highly anticipated list, FC Barcelona have secured the third spot, maintaining this position since 2022. The current valuation of FC Barcelona stands at an impressive €1.542 billion, a significant increase from the previous year’s valuation of €1.374 billion.

Barcelona’s consistent presence on this prestigious podium is noteworthy. The club has been among the top three highest-valued football clubs for nine consecutive years. 

This annual study, which has been conducted since 2010, has seen Barcelona’s rankings fluctuate over the years. The club experienced its lowest ranking in 2015, landing in the sixth position. 

However, they reached their peak performance in 2020 and 2021, securing the second position during those years.

In the latest ranking, Real Madrid have taken the top spot, surpassing Manchester City. Real Madrid’s valuation is currently at €1.685 billion, which is €227 million more than last year’s valuation. Manchester City, now in the second position, are valued at €1.611 billion.

Meanwhile, the top ten clubs in this ranking are dominated by six Premier League teams, showcasing the league’s financial strength and global appeal. 

These clubs include Manchester City, Manchester United (4th, valued at €1.398 billion), Liverpool (5th, valued at €1.380 billion), Arsenal (8th, valued at €996 million), Tottenham Hotspur (9th, valued at €868 million), and Chelsea (10th, valued at €838 million). 

The remaining spots in the top ten are occupied by Bayern Munich (6th, valued at €1.236 billion) and Paris Saint-Germain (7th, valued at €1.208 billion).
